Question

Who thinks abstractly? __ in Werke. Bd 2, Frankfurt, 1986 pp.575-581. 04/03/2024 Think? Abstract? - Save yourself if you can! Thus, I already hear a traitor exclaimed , bought by the enemy, denouncing that this essay dealt with metaphysics. For metaphysics is a word, as well as abstraction and thought, from which all flee , as if they were running from a man punished by the plague . However, I do not want to be so cruel as to pretend that the meanings of the tender "thought" and "abstract" should be clarified here. For the beautiful world there is nothing more unbearable than explanations. I find it quite horrible when someone starts to explain , because in case of need everything myself . Moreover, such explanations would appear here to be totally superfluous, for it is precisely because the beautiful world already knows what abstract means, that it avoids it. In the same way that it is not possible to wish for something that is not known, it cannot also be hated. It is not also my purpose to try to cunningly reconcile the beautiful world with thinking or with the abstract, as if, under the guise of a light conversation , both were introducec I secretly, so that without being aware of them and precisely without provoking repulsion, they would penetrate or even be imperceptibly adopted by society itself. This type of scene of recognition, through which the world must be instructed against its own will, it contains within itself an unforgivable error, who engenders them wants at the same time to cause humiliation and to obtain a little glory. This humiliation and futility suspend the reached effect, for they end up dispelling again the teaching obtained in this way. The meaning of Thinking and Abstract-that everyone present knows this, it is what is expected of a good society , and we are in a good society. The only question is Who thinks abstractly?Man without instruction not instructed. The good society does not think abstractly.however, it is much simple, much low, and low not according to external status or from an empty nobility that places itself above what it is not capable of, but because of the interior inferiority to the thing itself. The preconception and respect for abstract thinking are too big , that the most perceptive will sniff out satire or irony in this essay. To think abstractly means to see in the murderer only the abstract fact that he is a murderer, and through this simple quality to nullify all the human essence still remaining in him. In a well different way, I heard once an old lady that used to work in a hospital killing the abstraction of the murderer and bring him back to life and honor. That woman saw that the head of the murderer had been illuminated by the sun and that it still had value. She elevated him from the punishment to divine grace of sun. NucL i.UNILAB Núcleo de Vocabularies: Futility-the fact of having no purpose because there is no chance of success. Unbearable - too painful, annoying, or unpleasant to deal with or accept. Superfluous - unnecessary or more than you need or want. Engender something -to make a feeling or situation exist. Satire - a way of a person, an idea or an institution in which you use humor to show their faults or weaknesses.

The text suggests that a good society does not engage in abstract thinking, but rather focuses on the concrete details of life. This is because abstract thinking can lead to a disconnect between the individual and society, and can also lead to a lack of empathy and understanding. Instead, a good society should focus on the inherent value of individuals and the concrete details of life.
